EIKONAL.WORKS
Optical Raytracing Software
Features
Core Technologies
Remote Computation
Execute demanding raytracing simulations (optionally) on high-performance remote servers while maintaining a responsive local workflow.
Ideal for mobile workstations and distributed engineering teams.
GPU Acceleration
Harness Vulkan RT-core acceleration to perform massive ray sets at unprecedented agility.
Up to 50× faster computation compared to CPU-only processing. 5M+ rays/s with Stokes vector + Mueller matrices
Modular Raytracing Engine
A fully modular technology stack where every operation — from source modelling to scattering — is implemented as replaceable plugins.
Integrate custom optics models or research algorithms seamlessly.
Ultra-Responsive UI
A high-performance interface built on wxWidgets and a custom scene engine delivers unmatched responsiveness.
Smooth interaction even with millions of rays and large mesh models.
Physically Accurate Rays
Choose the fidelity of your simulations: geometric raytracing, polarization-aware interfaces, or advanced Gausslet-type models.
Cross-Platform & Multilingular
Windows, Linux, MacOS. x64 or ARM. Engineering should not be constrained by a single platform.
Supporting 8 languages out of the box
Examples
Catadioptric Lens Design
Design of a simple collimator lens. Loading LightTools binary ray file source. Importing source from the source library. Showing Solidworks Link module & design workflow.
Light Dispersion Test
This is a basic setup of a TIR prism and a block with dispersion on optical surfaces. Is also features True Color chromatic rendering on an illuminance detector.
Road&Street lens for 5050 LED
This example shows how to set up a basic workbench for the optical simulation of a refractive optic for a large LES LED source, specifically the OSRAM DURIS™ S 5050, GW P9LR37.PM
Pricing
EIKONAL.WORKS uses a license-based subscription model.
One license covers a single concurrent user session across all applications.
A single license enables running one instance of each software component
(Workbench, IntensityView, RayEdit) on a workstation at the same time.
Activating any application counts as one active use for that workstation.
Special licensing arrangements for enterprises, research institutions, or custom workflows are available.
IntensityView
€190
/YEAR
/license
Visualize and analyze luminous intensity distribution files
Edit any parameter of the distribution file and save changes
Create macros for repetitive tasks and batch processing
Workbench
€1,990
/YEAR
/license
High performance Monte-Carlo raytracing engine with GPU acceleration
A complete set of optical design and analysis tools for illumination engineering
A continously growing library of optical components and materials for fast prototyping
Includes one IntensityView license
Complete package. No need to purchase "Illumination module" or "CAD module" separately. All features are included in the Workbench license.
