    PHILLUM Files

PHILLUM files use the .phl extension. They are photometric data files used in Philips and Signify workflows and may appear in product libraries or internal exchange pipelines.

    What the format contains

A PHILLUM file stores luminaire and photometric table data in a structured text format. IntensityView reads the geometry type, conic and planar angle tables, and intensity table sections required to reconstruct the intensity distribution.

    Use in IntensityView

IntensityView can open .phl files and save selected intensity distributions back to PHILLUM format. Imported data is converted into the same internal mesh model used by the other view, edit, and report tools.

    Best practice

Use PHILLUM when working with source data or partner workflows that require .phl. For long-term editing inside EikonalWorks, save an .ewi copy alongside the exchanged file.
