    IES TM-33 JSON Files

IES TM-33 JSON files use the .json or .tm33 extension in IntensityView. TM-33 is a structured photometric data exchange format intended to carry richer luminaire information than older line-oriented formats.

    What the format contains

A TM-33 JSON file stores photometric data and related luminaire information in JSON form. The structured representation is easier for software to validate, transform, and extend than older plain-text table formats.

    Use in IntensityView

IntensityView can import and export TM-33 JSON through the built-in TM-33 stream. The data is converted between the TM-33 document model and IntensityView intensity documents.

    Best practice

Use TM-33 JSON when a workflow benefits from structured data and JSON tooling. Keep an .ewi copy when you need to preserve internal EikonalWorks-specific data that may not map directly to TM-33.
